Every time I heard someone suggest writing a blog it made my stomach do flip flops. Reminded me of getting the class sylabus at the beginning of a term in college. Thoughts of “I have to write what!”
Blog, blog, blog. Just sounds hard.
To my delight it has been really fun, pretty simple, quite painless. I logged on to WordPress.com and followed their step by step directions. There were a few challenges: learning how to add a link or photo into an article. But no worries, the support desk helped me through and now I’m a pro (at least in my book). I figured out that my pages are the tabs located on the top of my site. Best of all, I figured out how to post.
Once I figured out what I was doing I put the simple test to the challenge. I gave my laptop to my 10 year old, told her to log into WordPress, and within minutes she had her site up and running. For the pictures I did show her which icon to hit to download and that’s all she needed from me.
So to all the teachers who wrote “talks to much in class” on every single report card I ever got – HA. Now I can “talk” as much as I want.
